Ryan has been doing very well, he started really using the potty seat off and on, but really consistantly used it from February 26th to present. We tried since last Nov. he did well for a few months then regressed to once a month. We tried bribing him with books, candy, stickers, nothing was working. Then I said if he goes pees, he can have a Present each time he goes, so then it was more of a motivator. He started going more regularly. Then I had to say he had to pee a couple of times before recieving a Present, or if he did a number 2, it was a Present. I also tell him he can recieve a Present 1st thing if he goes, but he waits like 2 hours before going after he wakes up. He also recieves a Present if he goes on the potty seat out in public, and yes, we bring plenty of disinfective wipes. He has just started standing up peeing on March 19th, and again yesterday at Pizza Hut, Marians' and at home, so far he has goine once today standing up. We have a potty chair in his room so if he has to go during a nap he can go, so he has used the potty chair a couple of times. If he sees a toy that he really likes, then if he continues to go to the potty for a week straight he can have the special toy. So far he has been doing a great job at least on peeing, #2 is alittle harder,he has gone a couple of times, but still working on that.... Read More »

We continue to have PT twice a week, one at home, one at Brightstart in the sensory room, OT once a week, and speech twice a week at home. and school twice a week. He will begin nursery school in the fall at Brightstart, it is set up as what he has been doing for the past year at Brightstart now. They will have play time, circle time, snack time, motor skill time and complete one craft. We are in the process of changing our speech therapist as we have had Sarah for almost a year and we just feel that she is to low key for Ryan and he does well with more energetic people. In the fall we will lose Joan, our OT, she has been so great we hate to loose her but she usually changes once they reach 3 years old. Julia, PT hasnt said whether or not she will change to, she indicated when we start she usually sees them until 5 years of age. He is using his right hand more and more, we havent used his brace of his hand in... Read More »
